RSI Sakinah Mojokerto

RSI Sakinah or Rumah Sakit Islam “Sakinah” (“Sakinah” Islamic Hospital) Mojokerto was built in 1990 on the former land of “Mbok Berek” Restaurant which was bought from investors’ donation, and Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama contribution from “jimpitan beras” (In English: rice-donation, it is one of the customs of NU society to donate a cup of rice every home every night). Then, from the initiative of the Mojokerto greatest muslim leader, KH Achyat Chalimy (founder of Pondok Pesantren Sabilul Muttaqin, the oldest and the biggest Pondok Pesantren in Mojokerto), he demanded that NU should establish its own hospital.

Stasiun Mojokerto

Stasiun Mojokerto (Mojokerto Railway Station) is the train transportation service that Mojokerto has. It is located in the middle of the town, in Jalan Bhayangkara 20 Mojokerto.

SMA Negeri 1 Sooko

In the history of educational institution in Mojokerto, the existence of SMA Negeri 1 Sooko and SMA Negeri 1 Puri had a very important role. Both were derived from the same root, SMA Negeri Mojokerto (or SMA Gatoel).

In 1974 (based on Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI No. 041 tahun 1974 tentang pembaharuan Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah) the name of SMA Negeri Mojokerto was changed into SMPP (Sekolah Menengah Pembangunan Persiapan or -just say - High School of Preparation Development). SMPP has two local building, one in Desa Gatoel - Kecamatan Puri and the other in Desa Sooko, Kecamatan Sooko.  In 1984, SMPP was separated or split into two institutions. SMA Gatoel was changed into SMA Negeri 1 Mojokerto (located in Desa Gatoel or Jalan Jayanegara) and the name SMPP was changed into SMA Negeri Sooko (located in Desa Japan, Kecamatan Sooko). And now it is changed into SMA Negeri 1 Sooko Mojokerto.

SMA Negeri 1 Puri

SMA Negeri 1 Puri has a long history in educational scope in Mojokerto. Since 1960s Mojokerto Regency and Mojokerto Town only had this school. It was SMA Negeri Mojokerto as its previous name.
